A clean out fee for a container after it has been unloaded is a fairly common accessorial charge associated with import SD deliveries. We do not see this option in the export release of TMS. We definitely would like to see this for imports. Right now we require photos to be uploaded showing where cleaning was needed. We could have this requirement, similar to that needed to claim waiting time, in order to have a check point. The main goal is to drive vendor behavior and encourage them to self-service accessorial charges whenever possible.
Hello Emily. Thanks for bringing up this idea. After talking with Selene Ruiz on the topic, I got informed that we should not pay any cleaning fee to our Vendors. It is suggested to talk wit Dre Murillo in case some of our Vendors request to get paid for that.
