Hi, I would like request a Feature Enhancement to SAP TMS - this enhancement is a TEST scenario which I require the tech capability to connect to a vendor - This vendor is a trucking company in Sweden and they want to connect to the supplier portal via an API connection not an EDI connection

    Hi LJ,

    My colleague Ioannis Koniaris has headed up an initiative to provide a 'transport order API' for Inland. This API is currently in testing with Anco trans in Denmark and they have scheduled a golive after the Danish holidays. After this successful test we can offer this API solution to any interested Inland vendor.

    When connecting to Inland via API the vendor is connecting to the SAP overall eco system and not to Supplier Portal directly. Therefore, the transport order API would send orders to the vendor from SAP TM which is the correct place since all subscribing systems take data from SAP.

    Inland also offers a Track & Trace visibility API which would allow vendors to pass updates to Maersk, this is available now and is being implemented in several countries with different vendors. Linda Schou Kruse and Vittoria Melli are best contacts for this.

    If any updates are detected end-to-end, e.g if an update has been received via API and passed to SAP TM, then SAP TM in turn will sync the data/container number update across to Supplier Portal.
