If vendor can request from SC, it saves work on manually adjusting or adding charges. It will also save cost in having to re-evaluate charges and prevents risks from us reversing payments to truckers that should be in place. |

Currently we have several customers that ship cargo where 'tank endorsement' needs to be paid to vendors. As there was no dedicated charge type for this, we were instructed to use the 'Hazardous' charge type. In cases where the loads are hazardous and charge already in place, we were instructed to change the amount manually, to include the additional tank endorsement cost. This way of actioning causes a lot of confusion on the financing side. We have had multiple call outs where the teams believe we are paying out HAZ charges on non HAZ cargo. There is no clear way to differentiate these charges currently. It will be beneficial to have a dedicate charge so we do not have to use an automated charge for other purposes. |
